NPX 5300

Nutri-Placr 2800

NPX5300 fertilizer applicators band nutrients in the soil root zone to increase fertilizer utilization. Mounted and pull-type versions can be used for both preplant and sidedress application.

Mounted

Mounted NPX5300 applicators are durable, easy to use, and provide an economical alternative for either preplant or sidedress application.

  • Sizes range from 20 ft. to 37 ft. 6 in. (6.1 to 11.4 m).
  • Rugged 4 in. x 6 in. tubing is built to withstand difficult field conditions.
  • Full 27-in. rank between front and rear bars provide for more flexible placement of coulters and shanks.
  • The 3-point hitch mounting also offers more tractor clearance for 42- or 46-in. tractor tires.

Pull-type NPX5300 systems allow you to preplant or sidedress fertilizer and are available in single-fold and double fold models.

Single Fold

Single-fold applicators (working widths from 27 ft. 6 in. to 37 ft. 6 in. or 8.4 to 11.4 m)
This mid-sized applicator can be configured for the application of NH3, liquid and dry fertilizer to offer you total application flexibility.

  • An optional liquid tank enables dual placement of liquid and NH3 fertilizer.
  • Strong diagonal bracing allows for more shank placement options.
  • Bolt-on wing extensions are optional, with pin-adjust and hydraulic gauge wheel options.
  • Walking tandems provide a smoother ride in rough fields, while single wheels are available for sidedressing 30-in. rows.
Double Fold

Double fold applicators (working widths from 40 ft. to 52 ft. 6 in. or 12.2 to 16 m)
This largest Case IH pull-type applicator offers NH3, dry and liquid fertilizer application capability for single and dual applications.

  • Mainframe and A-frame are designed to handle the stress of today’s largest tractors and toughest field conditions.
  • Inline gauge wheels reduce stress during turns. Hydraulic gauge wheels are standard on the inner wing.
  • Pin adjust gauge wheel is also included on the outer wing of 47 ft. 6 in. (14.5 m) and larger sizes.
  • A 500-gallon liquid tank is optional for dual placement capability with pull-type models.

Wagon-Mate™ constant tongue height hitch is available on pull-type models and boasts the largest extending and swinging drawbar hook-up in the industry. A simple, trouble-free mechanism protects tongues from damage, keeps the wagon tongue level when the applicator is in raised or lowered position and is designed for easy viewing of the wagon hitch when backing up to nurse tanks.

Components designed for durability:

  • 1 in. x 2 in. shanks are constructed from a durable spring steel alloy for longer life than competitive models. Optional spring mounting has a “spring-within-a-spring” that stays in the ground better in hard soil conditions with 850 pounds of trip force
  • HCS™ (High Clearance Shank) assembly provides an increased 7 1/2-in. trip clearance for tough soil with rocks and hidden debris. The durable, heat-treated 1 1/4 in. x 2 in. edge-bent shank has a 1-in. pivot pin. Heavier springs carry an increased hold force of 1,150 pounds for more consistent nutrient placement. This shank’s primary-tillage style tripping geometry with force-relieving design provides added protection for the assembly and toolbar
  • 20-in. and 24-in. spring loaded swivel coulters feature a self-sharpening, 16-degree taper blade that slices through residue to eliminate plugging and bunching
  • Durable and versatile 14-in. reversible spring double disk sealers give you the option of aggressive sealing or a position that leaves more residue on the surface. Extra spring down pressure reduces sealer bounding and the durable H-frame allows for numerous mounting positions and blade angles
  • An 18-in. reversible spring double disk sealers is heavy duty and built stronger to handle the larger blades with a heavy, one-inch-diameter hardened bushing pivot.
